A individual accused with harassing Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a voicemail message which questioned: "imagine I am Madeleine?"

Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has persistently declared she was the vanished Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the tribunal was told phone records and evidence retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a trip in Portugal - is considered the most publicized child disappearance cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another voicemail, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Is that not significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I only wish to discover," the recording stated.

The tribunal was advised that via emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who collated the evidence, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court learned the co-defendant developed a connection online with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in that area in last December.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had contacted using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the press had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be taken seriously in the months leading up to the visit to the village, the county, in December 2024.
