British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the global fight fans offered condolences for the star in the wake of the devastating accident.
