FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition over two years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
