Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed based on standard procedures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative stated in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.
This event does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to head back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
