The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform for the first time. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft still intends to engage players with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
