Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack

Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

The charges follow an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
